Notable alumni is Ernest Rutherford, 1st Baron Rutherford of Nelson, HFRSE LLD, was a New Zealand-born British physicist who came to be known as the father of nuclear physics. Another one is Joseph Eugene Stiglitz, an American economist, public policy analyst, and a professor at Columbia University.
