    The University of Brighton was established in 1858. Notable alumni is Keith Tyson, an English artist. In 2002, he was the winner of the Turner Prize. His work is concerned with an interest in generative systems, and an embrace of the complexity and interconnectedness of existence. Another one is Keith Coventry, a British artist and curator. In September 2010 his Spectrum Jesus painting won the £25,000 John Moores Painting Prize. And also George Hardie, an English graphic designer, illustrator and educator, best known for his work producing cover art for the albums of rock musicians and bands with the British art design group Hipgnosis.
